Rowena "Weng" Bagadion, MAEdM, CFP

Weng Bagadion is the Founding President of the Creative Economies Council of the Philippines (2011 to present), a non-profit private-sector-driven umbrella organization of IT-enabled creative industries including animation, game development, interactive media,audiovisual (film, television, music, post-production), design, publishing and print, and advertising. She was former President of the Animation Council of the Philippines (2009-2011), and member of the Board of Directors of the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (2009-2011). As an industry leader, Weng represents the Philippines in various international forums and initiatives, particularly those relating to digital creative content.

Beyond her advocacy work, Weng is a serial entrepreneur and the Philippines' foremost expert in e-learning and publishing. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Mediamatics, a 13-year old multinational company that provides digital cretive services to the English- and Spanish-speaking markets of Asia, North America,Latin America. and Europe. Mediamtics also provides consulting services to investors and venture capitalists seeking to do business in the Philippines and in Colombia, where the company operates its backrooms.

As a professional, Weng has been providing consulting to top-tier corporations, academic institutions, and governmental organizations in the ares of education and training,human resource and performance management, oraganization development, process and technology management, finacial planinning, ang marketing and business development for more than 15 years now. Her most recent clients include Sun Life Financial/Sun Life of Canada, the Asian Institute of Management, and Mapua Institute of Technology. Early in her career, Weng handled projects for the World Bank and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

Her natural propensity for pioneering innovations, combined with her passion for traveling and the environment, has recently driven Weng to dabble Into the renewable energy sector. She is currently engaged on the projects related to electric vehicles, waste-to-energy/waste-to-commodity, and integrated waste management. Weng holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and a masteral degree in Educational Leadership and Management from De La Salle University and a Certified Financial Planner credential from the Asian Institute of Management.
